Favourite kitchen utensils are so personal! And I love the list of branded merch a funeral home would receive. Thanks for this!

Marshmallows in salad! The leftover icing on graham crackers. And that last line: wow. So much generosity in this piece. Thank you!

This story on this Thanksgiving melts my heart. It is a simple and meaningful look back at a family ritual using the vehicle of a beloved kitchen tool. I loved reading it. Thankyou Stephanie

Stephanie, your mom reminds me of my mom. From smoking to book buying to the little indulgences. Mom only used Avon on her own face, but she would always comment on bad funeral home makeup jobs. One of my favorite things of hers is the old, avocado green electric hand mixer. Thank you. I needed to be reminded of her today.

Merci beaucoup for your memory. I love your love of food and your loving description of a remarkable mom. And that the wooden chocolate-sheet-cake spatula was your "inheritance."

"I thought she would bake again." She is baking again! In your memories, in this piece. Now all of us who read this can smell the cake in the oven and taste the frosting in the fridge. Thanks for the schmect!

This was a wonderful remembrance! We never know which things our children will hold as something special.

Your Mom was so loving as the way you write about her shows her to be.

As someone whose mother was not extremely loving I am always envious of those who had such a great relationship with Mom.

Thank you for sharing how much a loving mother means the world.
