Thank you for reading. Friends who become sisters (or family) are treasures, aren't they?

This one is right up my alley. I love this friendship and the way her friend chose to be optimistic rather than share a tearful goodbye. What a story of mutual love and support. I have a friend who has stayed in touch for years with a group she calls her "breast sisters." They met during treatment for breast cancer and she credits them for her sanity and survival.

So grateful it spoke to you, and that you 'see' brave, gorgeous Kathi. Our differing cancer outlooks could have eroded our bond - we loved each other too much to let that happen.

You're both gorgeous. I'm close to tears thinking of my dear sisters and dear women friends. Your story is beautiful, thank you for sharing. Nothing matches our women friendships and the intimacy they foster.
