Ed, your gifted writing always touches me deeply. In 600 short words, I have laughed, cried, and continued to get to know Jody. Like you, and through you, he blesses my life. Thank you.

A fine piece of writing from a fine writer.

The watch is merely in hibernation, waiting to re-awaken when your love story resumes.

Elegant and heartbreaking. I'd already loved your writing. Now, I love it more.

Lovely piece Ed. I agree, you and Jody are a perfect example of love transcending time. I can just imagine that second hand starting up again as you do. I was already tearing up, but that just got me! Just perfect that it’s a Timex.

Though very sad, I believe that when the watch stopped something magical happened. He sent you a message that you'll never forget, in his own special way. Maybe these things can only be understood by people who share a deep love that exists beyond time and space. Thanks for sharing this wonderful story about the power of love ❤️.

Your writing allows us to come in and experience what is most important to you. What an honor. I wish I could have met Jody.

The Watch is such a blessing, both the writing itself and especially the connection of that watch to the dreadful moment in 2020 when Jody left this Earth, and yet also for the eternal love his watch represents - a love that you and Jody will always share.
