What a great loss for you but such wonderful memories to bring forward when you need to feel close to her. I have a piece of carnival glass from when my Mom moved from the home I grew up in and it evokes wonderful memories.

What a beautiful story. I love the friendship you shared with Jane. Following the link to the NYT article about her labor of love restoring the brownstone with her husband just added to it. The glow of the candy dish is such a sweet reflection of your lovely friend. Thank you for sharing her with us.
