What a treasure that little book is and as small as it is, it speaks volumes about a life well-lived. My father passed at 88 as well and his parting words were “I’ve had a good run.” I think your father did too.
I love your father's pride in his roots. My father was from the LES and went to Brooklyn College on the GI Bill. He spoke very highly of what that education gave him. What a wonderful gift your father made to a place that changes people's lives for the better. The picture of you and your father is really lovely.

“a life well-lived”—you can’t ask for more, right?
That and possibly no regrets!
What a beautiful message you got to hear from your dad ... and yes, mine certainly appreciated life.
Beautiful. I remember those autograph books!
That sense of humor!
That man loved to laugh—and to make others laugh.

Thank you! My dad had profound appreciation for that school.
Oh, that’s delightful. 🥹
Thank you so much!
He sounds wonderful. “A deep appreciation for life and people” is a good life perspective.
Agreed. We learned a lot from him!
I really enjoyed this. Long live D!
Long live D indeed! Thank you so much for reading.

Great story about your dad!
Thank you so much ... he was a great dad (and continues to be).
I love that "continues to be" ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for reading 💓
What a treasure! I remember the little powder blue autograph book I once had...long gone now. How wonderful to have such a memorial to your dad.
It really is special. I wish I could find mine, too!
Thank you all for your kind words!
